Some people fail to grasp that upbringing is not merely an art of words but also a matter of strength of character. We take pride in our mother’s guidance because she taught us that time is the most precious trust a person holds—and such a trust is not something to be cast carelessly at anyone’s feet. As we grew up, we learned that relationships are forged not by smiles alone, but by intentions. Those accustomed only to seeking constant pampering and attention simply do not meet our standards. Our mother gave us a tender heart but a firm resolve in decision-making; that is why we are not the sort of people to chase after a pleasing face. We look at character, weigh a person's temperament, and only then do we move forward.
True upbringing lies in valuing one’s time, guarding one’s heart, and dedicating oneself to those who have the courage to honor relationships. We were not created to be used; we choose to walk alongside those who do not treat connections as a joke. Our mother’s guidance taught us that when love runs deep, ego becomes irrelevant, and when a relationship is rooted in truth, trials do not feel like enemies. That is why we do not allow ourselves to become objects of someone’s fleeting attention, temporary need, or casual amusement. We define our own worth and principles—and they are not so cheap that just anyone can buy them.
Those who crave nothing but attention cannot walk the same path as us. We choose people who possess patience, loyalty, and the grace to treat others with respect. Such individuals are rare, but it is better to find a few genuine souls than many who are not. We take pride in our mother’s upbringing, for she taught us to devote our time only to those who offer support to the heart rather than becoming a burden upon it. As for the rest—let them go their own way; we hold fast to our dignity.
