The truth of life is that we always hold on to the very curtains behind which our own fears are hidden. Reality is never outside of us; it always resides within, and it is the first thing to strip away our illusions. Life quietly gives us every opportunity to accept the truth, yet in our stubbornness, we cover it with another veil. Then we stand there, bewildered, wondering why our wounds refuse to heal.
The truth is that life begins to change from the moment a person finds the courage to lift that veil. Reality does not run away; it simply waits. And when it finally stands before us, a person either becomes stronger, or is left completely exposed.
The one who learns to accept the truth finds that life clears the path ahead. But the one who chooses to live behind veils spends an entire lifetime hiding from their own self.
