One Feels Like Apologizing To Oneself

Sometimes, one must ask oneself for forgiveness, because in the race of life—while striving to keep others happy—one often leaves oneself far behind. We keep fulfilling the world's demands while neglecting our own desires, peace of mind, and feelings; yet, a moment arrives when an inner voice asks, "Where am I?" In that very moment, we realize that the greatest injustice was not committed by anyone else, but by us against ourselves. We sacrificed our happiness, buried our dreams, and compromised our truths—all to ensure no one would be displeased or drift away. Yet, the truth is that when a person is broken within, all worldly relationships lose their meaning. Asking oneself for forgiveness is, in essence, an act of acknowledging one's own soul—recognizing one's wounds and beginning the process of healing them. When this realization dawns, one learns that self-love, self-respect, and being true to oneself constitute the ultimate form of worship. Never sacrifice your happiness, peace, and truth for the sake of others; for in the end, the person you are most compelled to seek forgiveness from is yourself.
